Two teachers suspended for misbehaving with students in Adilabad

Two government teachers in Adilabad district were suspended for alleged misconduct with students. Cases were registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, and investigations are under way following complaints by parents.

Adilabad: In separate incidents, two government teachers were suspended for allegedly misbehaving with students. An order to this effect was issued by District Educational Officer Rajeshwar here on Saturday.

Petkule Sukumar, a language teacher in Sunkidi village and Ranjith Singh, headmaster in Barampur village of Thalamadugu mandal were placed suspended. The DEO took action based on a report submitted by officials.


Earlier, parents of the students complained against the two teachers with police. Two separate cases were registered against Sukumar and Ranjith Singh under the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO)-Act 2012. Investigations were already taken up.
