Two women from Telangana’s Mahabubabad killed in road accident in US
Two young women from Mahabubabad, Pullakhandu Meghana and Kadiyala Bhavana, died in a car accident in California while touring with friends. Both had recently completed their Master’s degrees. US police are investigating, and families seek quick repatriation
Mahabubabad: Two young women from the district were killed in a road accident in California in the US.
Pullakhandu Meghana (24) and Kadiyala Bhavana (24) both from Garla mandal in Mahabubabad district had gone to the USA for higher studies. They recently completed their Master’s degrees and were looking for jobs.
It was said that Meghana, Bhavana along with eight friends were on a tour in California in two cars. The car in which they were traveling in fell into a gorge at a curve on the Alabama Hills road leading to their death.
American police have launched an investigation into the incident. Meanwhile, the family members are tearfully pleading for measures to be taken to bring their bodies back to India as quickly as possible.
Meghana’s father Nageshwara Rao runs a Mee-Seva centre at Garla while Bhavana’s father is the deputy sarpanch of Mulkanoor village.
