Two women killed in separate road accidents in Hyderabad

Police said when the victim reached Moosapet ‘Y’junction, a truck driver truck who was driving quite fast, lost control of the steering wheel and hit her scooter from the backside. She fell on the road and died on the spot due to grievous injuries

Hyderabad: A woman died on the spot after a truck hit her scooter at Moosapet. The victim, Mounika (35), a private employee was on her way towards Quthbullapur when the incident occurred in the morning.

Police said when Mounika reached Moosapet ‘Y’junction, a truck driver who was driving quite fast, lost control of the steering wheel and hit her scooter from the backside. She fell on the road and died on the spot due to grievous injuries.


The Kukatpally police booked a case of negligence causing death and took up investigation. Efforts are on to identify and nab the absconding driver.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, K Bhavani (30), who was seriously injured after she was run over by a concrete mixer truck in Shamirpet on Monday, succumbed to injuries in the hospital on Wednesday.

The Shamirpet police are investigating.
