Two workers were killed after roof sheets collapsed at a government medical college construction site in Medak due to strong winds on Tuesday night. One died on the spot, while the other succumbed to injuries on Wednesday
Medak: Two persons died after roof sheets used during the construction of a government medical college collapsed on them due to heavy winds.
Medak town witnessed strong winds on Tuesday night, during which the roof sheets fell on workers at the construction site. Venkat (46), a resident of Seethanagaram in Papannapet mandal, died on Tuesday night, while another worker, Srikanth, a resident of Avusulapally, succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday evening.
The police registered a case and shifted the bodies to the government hospital for postmortem examination.
