Two youngsters drown in a lake at Keesara
Two youngsters from Bolaram drowned in a lake at Thumaipally village near Keesara while on a photoshoot with a friend on Monday. One youth managed to return safely. Police retrieved one body and continued efforts to trace the second victim
Hyderabad: Two youngsters out of a three-member group who had gone for a photoshoot drowned in a lake at Keesara on the city outskirts on Monday.
According to the police, three friends, Anthony, Tony and Joseph, all residents of Bolaram, went to a lake at Thumaipally village on Monday afternoon for a photoshoot.
All three entered the lake one after the other. However, Joseph realised that they were drowning and rushed back to the shore safely, while Anthony and Tony drowned.
On being informed, the Keesara police reached the spot and, with the help of Disaster Response Force and Fire Department personnel, retrieved Anthony’s body from the lake, while efforts were on to trace Tony’s body.
A case has been registered.
