Nirmal: A 26-year old person accidentally drowned in Godavari river while trying to take bath along with his friends on the occasion of Holi festival near Soan mandal headquarters on Friday.
The victim was Rampalli Sairam, a resident of Nirmal town. His friends managed to swim ashore and survived the mishap.
In another incident, a youngster from Nirmal district headquarters met a watery grave when he along with three others were taking a dip in Swarna stream at Siddapur village in Nirmal mandal. The victim was identified as Sai Teja (25). The bodies of both the deceased are yet to be fished out.
