Kothagudem: Two youngsters were killed in a road accident at Kommugudem in Julurpad mandal in the district on Wednesday.

Guguloth Manohar (20) and Banoth Santhosh (22) of Jagannadhapuram of Paloncha mandal were going to Khammam in an auto-rickshaw for work.

A TGRTC bus going to Manugur from Khammam hit the auto-rickshaw head on, killing the duo on the spot. Local CI Indrasena Reddy along with SI Rana Pratap visited the spot, booked a case in connection with the incident and launched a probe.

Though locals said the youngsters carried ganja packets with them, the police were yet to confirm this.
