Two youngsters killed, one injured in road accident near Jagtial
Two youngsters were killed and another seriously injured when a speeding car rammed into a divider after hitting an electric pole near Jagtial on Saturday evening. The victims had returned home from Hyderabad to celebrate Sankranti.
Jagtial: Two youngsters were killed and another sustained serious injuries in a road accident that occurred near Jagtial on Saturday evening.
The incident took place when a speeding car, in which the victims were travelling, rammed into a road divider after first hitting an electric pole. Navaneet and Saiteja died while being shifted to the hospital, while Srujan sustained serious injuries.
The victims, who were studying in Hyderabad, had come to their native Jagtial to celebrate the Sankranti festival.
After attending a party at Porandla in Jagtial rural mandal, they met with the accident while returning to Jagtial.
Local residents rushed the injured to the Jagtial hospital. However, Navaneet and Saiteja succumbed to their injuries on the way. Srujan is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
On receiving information, the police visited the spot and launched an investigation after registering a case.
