Two youths jailed for harassment of women in Hyderabad

Hyderabad She Teams secured convictions in two harassment cases involving repeated abuse through phone calls and social media platforms. The court sentenced both accused to simple imprisonment and imposed fines for causing mental distress to women victims.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad She Teams secured convictions in two harassment cases this month. The youths were found guilty of repeatedly harassing women through phone calls and social media, causing mental distress to the victims.

According to the police, one convict, Ch Naveen Reddy, harassed a woman known to him through repeated calls, messages and blackmail, while another convict, G Naresh, targeted women unknown to him through platforms including Instagram, WhatsApp and Telegram.


The court convicted both and sentenced them to two days of simple imprisonment along with a fine.
