Uday Kumar wins silver

Uday Kumar of A1 Chess Academy secured a silver medal with 6.5 points at the Vimana City's 1st FIDE Rated Open in Thanjavur and won Rs 40,000 in prize money

Hyderabad: Ammineni Uday Kumar Naidu of A1 Chess Academy (Anantapur) settled for a silver in Vimana City’s 1st International FIDE Rated Open Chess Tournament, organised by the Golden Square Chess Academy in Thanjavur, with 6.5 points in the below 1500–1600 category.

Uday Kumar also picked up a cash prize of Rs 40,000 in the championship featuring nine rounds in the Swiss league format.
