Potatoes are an all-time favourite vegetable. And what if you could be paid for tasting some roasted potatoes? Yes, it sounds bizarre but a restaurant in the UK is offering an exciting job opportunity that requires you to just taste their roasted potatoes. And guess what? You’ll not just be given some delicious roasted potatoes to taste but also be paid a salary of £500 (Rs 50,000).
“If you know what makes a special spud or a how-to build roast worth a boast, then we have got the perfect weekend job for you! We’re on the hunt for a paid roast reviewer who will make sure our new sharing roast is always share-worthy! The role has been created to ensure our ‘family-style sharing roasts’ are up to their Sunday Best,” the ad on the website of the restaurant read.
The selected candidate will have to attend a tasting session with up to five of their loved ones on Sunday, September 19. After the tasting session, the candidate will have to write a 500-word review or create a 60-second clip for social media platforms.
The perks of the position include winning a monthly roast for two with unlimited roast and, of course, a £500 salary.
According to the restaurant, interested people have to share which branch of the restaurant is closest to them and write in 500 words on why they would be perfect for the role. They will also have to mention which social media platform they would share their review.
The last date to submit applications is September 12.
