Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao addressing the media in Warangal on Friday.
Warangal Urban: Accusing the BJP and Congress parties of resorting to false propaganda using social media platforms to gain political mileage in the GWMC elections, Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao cautioned the people not to be carried away by it. He also urged the voters to teach a befitting lesson to the BJP with their votes in the election for the Centre’s discrimination against the Telangana government in supply of oxygen, Remdesivir injections and vaccines.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, Rao said the TRS had done justice to all communities in giving tickets for the GWMC election. “We have neglected none. We have allotted tickets to BCs from the general seats too. While there are a total of 66 wards, we have given 39 tickets to BCs, 13 to STs, 2 SCs, 8 to OCs and 4 to Muslim minorities after careful examination,” he added.
“The people of Warangal city should support the TRS candidates as the government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is committed to develop the city. Despite huge revenue loss due to COVID-19 crisis, the State government supported the Warangal in all possible ways and helped the people living in the low-lying areas during the floods in the last year,” he added.
Stating that the central government had done nothing for the people of Warangal, he said that both the BJP and Congress were spreading false propaganda through social media and termed the BJP as ‘party of liars’. Due to prevailing conditions following the sudden spurt in COVID-19 cases in the second wave, he said the door-to-door campaign was not possible and urged the voters to ensure the victory of TRS candidates in the election. “It is our responsibility to develop the city. Trust us fully and bless the TRS,” he added.
TRS combined Warangal district incharge Gyadari Balamallu, MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy, Hyderabad former mayor Bontu Rammohan, former corporator Dasyam Vijay Bhaskar and others were present at the press meet.
