Sangareddy: An undertrial prisoner, Vittal (61), who was arrested on charges of illegally possessing a revolver, died of a heart attack on Thursday.
Vittal, a resident of Marvelli in Vatpally mandal, was arrested about a month ago after he allegedly threatened to kill his son-in-law at gunpoint. After complaining of chest pain, Vittal was rushed to the government hospital in Sangareddy, where he died while undergoing treatment a few hours later.
The Sangareddy Rural police registered a case and are investigating.
