UNICEF appreciates Karimnagar collector Pamela Satpathy for initiating innovative programmes

Karimnagar: UNICEF has appreciated the district collector Pamela Satpathy for initiating innovative programmes especially special care for the protection, safety and honour of sanitation works.

In this regard, UNICEF wrote a letter to the collector. The letter signed by its Chief of field office for three states Zelalem Barhanu Taffesse was handed over to the collector by the organization’s state wash specialist Venkatesh at her camp office here on Friday.


In the letter, Pamela Satpathy was praised for providing 100 percent insurance facility, health cards and continuous health checkup, supplying protection equipment and motivating them to utilize equipment while engaged in the work by sanitation workers.

It was also mentioned in the letter that the collector was encouraging sanitation workers by honoring and felicitating them. Besides providing various facilities, workers were also provided medical assistance such as eye tests, operations and treatment for chronic diseases.

UNICEF state consultant Panidra Kumar, district coordinator Kishan Swamy, Swachh Bharat district coordinators Ramesh and Venu Prasad and others were present.
