Mancherial: An unidentified wild animal killed 20 sheep in a shed at Patha Mancherial on the outskirts of this town late on Thursday night.

Locals said that an unknown wild animal attacked a herd of sheep and killed 20 of them. Owner of the sheep woke up to see bodies of livestock in the shed early in the morning. He brought this incident to the notice of the Forest officials. He claimed that the value of the loss would be around Rs 3 lakh.

On receiving information, Forest officials inspected the spot of the incident. They suspected that either a hyena or a leopard might have killed the sheep.
