BRS leader B Vinod Kumar addressing press conference in Sircilla
Rajanna-Sircilla: Senior BRS leader B Vinod Kumar demanded the union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar to focus on the development of roads in the state instead of using abusive language.
Speaking to reporters in Sircilla on Saturday, Vinod Kumar said that since independence, injustice was done to Telangana (then Andhra Pradesh) in the sanction of roads.
However, during his tenure as MP, he sanctioned a number of national highways to the state under the supervision of the former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
He wanted the union minister to send a proposal for the expansion of national highway-365 from Duddeda, Siddipet and Sircilla to Vemulawada, Chandurthi, Kathalapur and Korutla.
If it was done, two national highways would be interlinked thus the accident free roads would be provided to future generations, he said and advised to divert the road without touching Sircilla municipality.
The previous BRS government sent a proposal for the construction of a 1.8 kilometer bridge on Mid Manair reservoir. Since the works of the bridge were in the initial stage, the union minister should take initiative to lay rail-cum-road bridge on the lines of Rajahmundry bridge.
If it was done, Vemulawada temple town would become a famous tourism spot.
Demanding the government to provide additional compensation to land oustees, he warned to wage agitation along with oustees if the government failed to do so.
