Union Minister praises University of Hyderabad for excellence in research, academics
During his visit to the university on Wednesday, the Minister met with Vice Chancellor Prof. BJ Rao, Registrar Dr. Devesh Nigam, and other officials. They discussed government initiatives aimed at promoting education and skill development, aligning with the University of Hyderabad’s vision.

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Education Dr. Sukanta Majumdar applauded the University of Hyderabad (UoH) efforts in achieving excellence in research, academics, and community outreach.
The Minister who visited the university here on Wednesday interacted with Vice Chancellor Prof. BJ Rao and Registrar Dr. Devesh Nigam among other officials. He discussed the government’s initiatives to promote education and skills development, aligning with the UoH’s vision.
Dr. Majumdar visited the ASPIRE BioNest incubation facility, a knowledge-based incubator in Life Sciences, and interacted with the startups in their area of research and had a first-hand account on some of their innovations.
He planted a sapling on the campus as part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, a unique initiative combining environmental responsibility with a heartfelt tribute to mothers.
