Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has recorded a historic placement season for 2024–25, with 550 students placed across 180 top organizations.

The highest annual package touched Rs 46 lakh, more than double last year’s highest offer of Rs 17.89 lakh. This was secured by an MTech-IT graduate from the School of Computer and Information Sciences.

Leading recruiters included TCS, Deloitte, Oracle, Teradata, Intel, Lloyds, ServiceNow, Micron, Pegasystems, Exim Bank, Accenture, Novartis, General Electric, ICICI Bank, and Federal Bank.

Chairman of the Placement Guidance Advisory Bureau (PGAB), Prof. Chetan Srivastava, said that despite a challenging job market, UoH students achieved remarkable success by securing some of the best offers of the season.

Training and Placement Coordinator Prerna Akhouri added that recruiters smoothly adapted to virtual hiring by conducting online assessments and interviews via platforms like Zoom and Google Meet. “While some in-person processes were postponed, we still achieved excellent placements. We are also running upskilling programmes and planning untargeted drives over the next two months to benefit more students,” she said.
