University of Hyderabad announces photography contest
The University of Hyderabad is hosting a free photography contest for World Photography Day 2025. Open to all, entries are due by August 10. Winners will be featured in a campus exhibition and awarded certificates and prizes
Hyderabad: In celebration of World Photography Day 2025, the Department of Communication, University of Hyderabad (UoH), is organising a photography contest, which is open to all photography enthusiasts.
This initiative aims to encourage creative visual storytelling and provide a platform for aspiring photographers to showcase their talent.
The contest is free of cost and will culminate in a photo exhibition on the university campus from August 19 to 23. In addition, there will be talks by eminent personalities from the field of photography and visual media on August 19 and 20, the UoH said.
Participants can submit their best photographic work on or before August 10 (5 pm). The competition offers three award winners, three merit certificates, and participation certificates to all eligible entrants.
