Karimnagar: Unseasonal rain coupled with strong winds damaged paddy stocks in several parts of erstwhile Karimnagar district on Tuesday night.
Trees and electric wires were damaged due to strong winds. Power supply was disrupted in many places as trees, flexies and hoarding fell on electric wires. Paddy stocked in procurement centers was soaked in the rain water in a few areas.
There was no power supply in Karimnagar town in the night as trees and flexies fell on electric wires in many places of the town. Electricity department staff restored power supply at 3 am by clearing the branches of trees and flexies.
