Nizamabad: The unexpected and unseasonal rains damaged several crops in the erstwhile Nizamabad district on Tuesday.
The sudden rains lashed several parts of the Nizamabad district including Jakranpally, Kotagiri, Renjal, Chanduru, Bodhan, Yedapally mandals. Due to lightning strikes in various parts of the district, several coconut trees and palm trees were damaged at Chintaluru village of Jakranpally mandla and Yadgarpur of Kotagiri mandal respectively.
The sudden hailstorm also damaged the standing and harvested paddy crop at Kotagiri, Nasrullabad, and other mandals.
