Untimely rains wreak havoc in Narayanpet
Some 700 quintals of paddy were soaked by the unexpected rainfall in the district

Narayanpet: Many parts in Narayanpet district experienced untimely rains on Thursday, causing damage to paddy being harvested and livestock. Some 700 quintals of paddy were soaked by the unexpected rainfall. Additionally, around 350 to 400 bags of paddy were exposed to rain in villages near the district headquarters resulting in big financial losses for the farmers.
In Maddur mandal of Narayanpet district, a buffalo died on the spot as it was struck by lightning. The district authorities are expected to soon assess the damage and provide necessary support to the affected farmers and livestock owners.
