UoH to award 178 medals, 1,721 degrees at 26th convocation

The University of Hyderabad will award 1,721 degrees, including 300 PhDs, and 178 medals at its 26th convocation on Thursday. Former DRDO chairman Samir V Kamat will deliver the address, while Governor Pratap Shukla will present medals.

Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) will award a staggering 178 medals and 1,721 degrees during its 26th convocation scheduled to be held on Thursday.

Of the total degrees to be awarded, 300 are PhDs. Additionally, 178 distinguished medals will be awarded to students in recognition of their exceptional academic performance and achievements.

Dr Samir V Kamat, Former Chairman of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), will deliver the convocation address.

Telangana Governor and UoH Chief Rector Pratap Shukla will present the medals to the awardees. UoH Chancellor Justice L Narasimha Reddy and Vice Chancellor Prof J Anuradha will also take part in the convocation ceremony.
