UoH’s Prof M Ghanashyam Krishna elected Academician of Asia Pacific Academy of Materials
Prof M Ghanashyam Krishna of the University of Hyderabad has been elected Academician of the Asia Pacific Academy of Materials, recognised for his pioneering work in thin films, nanostructured materials, and sensors.

Hyderabad: Prof M Ghanashyam Krishna, Senior Professor in the Centre for Advanced Studies in Electronics Science and Technology, School of Physics, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been elected as Academician of the Asia Pacific Academy of Materials (APAM) for his contributions to the areas of thin films, nanostructured materials and sensors.
APAM is a scientific society oriented on problems of promotion of close cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region in the field of advanced materials.
Prof Ghanashyam Krishna is only the second faculty member of the University of Hyderabad after Prof T P Radhakrishnan of the School of Chemistry to be elected as Academician of APAM. He is also a Fellow of the Telangana Academy of Sciences and Andhra Pradesh Academy of Sciences.
Prof Krishna’s research work among others focuses on processing, characterization and fabrication of thin film-based materials and devices for electronic, optical and optoelectronic applications; nanostructured materials and devices.
