UPSC aspirant dies by suicide in Hyderabad
A 24-year-old UPSC aspirant from Cherukuthota Colony, Saroornagar, died by suicide after failing to clear the prelims exam twice. He had been preparing for civil services for three years and reportedly slipped into depression over repeated failures

Hyderabad: A civil services aspirant who failed to score a rank died by suicide at his house in Saroornagar on Tuesday night.
The man, A Sai Tharun (24), a resident of Cherukuthota Colony in Saroornagar, was preparing for the civil services exam for the last three years. However, he appeared for the prelims exam twice but failed to score a good rank.
“The family members told us that Tharun slipped into depression over failing to perform well in the exam and might have ended his life over it,” said G Shirisha, Sub-Inspector, Saroornagar police station.
A case has been registered.
