A 62-year-old cloth merchant named Sukumaran died by suicide at his home in Chandragiri Colony, Neredmet, reportedly due to financial struggles. Police registered a case after a complaint from his daughter and have started an investigation

Hyderabad: Upset over financial problems, a cloth merchant died by suicide at his house in Chandragiri Colony in Neredmet on Monday.

The victim, Sukumaran (62), was engaged in the clothing business and had reportedly been facing financial difficulties for some time.

He ended his life by hanging from the ceiling fan in his room.

Based on a complaint from his daughter, the Neredmet police booked a case and are investigating.
