Hyderabad: Upset over her husband’s death due to critical illness recently, a woman died by suicide at her house in Balaji Nagar in Jawaharnagar on Monday night.

G Bhavani (27) and Vinay Kumar (30) had a love marriage five years ago and the couple along with their two-year-old son was staying in Muthuswamy Colony in Balaji Nagar.

According to the police, for the past two years Vinay Kumar suffered from acute health issues and was being treated for the same. However, there was no improvement in his condition. His health deteriorated and he died in April this year.

Bhavani was upset ever since she lost her husband and was staying with her parents at their house in Secunderabad.

On Monday afternoon, she left parent’s place saying she had some work at their house in Balaji Nagar. Late in the evening, her mother made several phone calls, which remained unanswered. She then alerted the neighbours, who forcibly opened the door and found Bhavani hanging from the ceiling fan in the bedroom.

The Jawaharnagar police are investigating.
