Hyderabad: With less than a week’s time for his wedding, a youth, who was allegedly upset over his ill health, died by suicide by hanging in his house at Moosapet in Kukatpally on Friday.

Mohd.Chotu (25), a resident of Habeebnagar in Moosapet worked in a local bakery and lived with his mother and brothers.

According to the police, Chotu got engaged with a woman from Ravulapalli near Kodangal about four months ago and his wedding was scheduled to take place on April 25.

However, for the past three months, he was suffering from severe pain in the back, shoulders and joints. Though he was being treated, there was no improvement in the health condition. He was not even going to work and stayed back home.

Upset over his health condition, he hanged from the ceiling fan in his house. He was found dead by his family members, who informed the police.

The Kukatpally police are investigating.
