Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said US-based companies were showing keen interest in investing in Telangana.

The Deputy Chief Minister, who is leading an official delegation to attract investment to the State in the US, on Wednesday met top-level officials of the US government, including Assistant Secretary of Global Markets Arun Venkataraman and Senior Policy Advisor Olimar Rivera Noa and discussed various opportunities available in Telangana.

Bhatti explained about the importance of Hyderabad as an engine of growth for the Telangana economy and the need for strategic cooperation between both the countries.

Earlier, Bhatti had meetings at the MINExpo in Las Vegas, with the management of Caterpillar Inc. and examined their latest product offerings which included Cat Dynamic Energy Transfer (DET).

He also had discussions with the management of BKT tyres, as well as the Wirtgen group, and examined their latest product offerings to the mining industry.
