Hyderabad: The U.S. Consulates General, Hyderabad and Chennai are conducting an interactive session on ‘Rules and Tools of Engaging Youth’. The online event on Thursday will involve two American experts, Thaddeus Ferber and Marlen Mendoza.

Being conducted as a part of the U.S. Speaker Program for India, it is hosted by the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi. The Speaker Program is designed to connect U.S. experts with Indian audiences and institutions.

The two speakers are renowned experts in Youth Engagement, with Gerber being the Executive Vice President at The Forum for Youth Investment. In addition to orchestrating National Youth Summits, he also launched Opportunity Youth Network, helped craft the Federal Youth Coordination Act and more.

Marlen Mendoza is an independent youth engagement consultant and is known to provide research and analysis in issues related to youth of colour, youth in poverty, mental health and more. Frankie Sturm, the acting public affairs officer at U.S. Consulate, Hyderabad will moderate the session including questions from the audience.
