Hyderabad: We have heard of people who oppose covid vaccination, we have heard of people willing getting infected with coronavirus to escape getting vaccinated, but this instance takes the cake and perhaps will remain on top of the list of those refusing to getting vaccinated, even if their life is at stake.

Media in the United States reported that an unvaccinated man in Boston, was taken off the list of heart transplant operations in a Boston hospital. The hospital authorities maintain that it is agaisnt the policy of the hospital to conduct any surgery on those not vaccinated. It so happened that DJ Ferguson, 31 has been taken off the heart transplant list in the hospital after he refused to get the vaccine shot.

Ferguson’s family members argue that it is against his wish to get vaccinated and that his sentiment should be respected. The US Centre for Disease Congrol and Prevention recommends that immunocompromised persons, should be vaccinated as they are extremely vulnerable to coronavirus.

As the discussion rages on whether one should respect the sentiments of the anti-vaxxers, Ferguson continues to wait for a heart to live.
