Hyderabad: Mumbai City witnessed a high-octane celebration of Indian football as sprint legend Usain Bolt swapped spikes for football boots in a pulsating 5v5 all-star exhibition match at Mukesh Mills. PUMA India curated the unique event to celebrate India’s vibrant football culture, bringing together stars from Mumbai City FC, Bengaluru FC, and Bollywood in an unforgettable evening.

Globally renowned for his passion for football, Bolt brought his trademark flair, competitive spirit, and infectious energy to the city. Taking turns for both sides, he delighted fans with bursts of speed and moments of skill that proved his love for football is just as real as his decorated sprinting career.

The evening began with a special moment when Bollywood icon and PUMA brand ambassador Kareena Kapoor Khan conducted the toss, which was won by Bengaluru FC. She stayed pitch-side throughout, cheering on both teams as the action unfolded.

“Football has been one of my first loves after Track & Field,” said Bolt.
“Playing in Mumbai alongside athletes, celebrities, and fans was electric. The passion, the noise, the atmosphere—this is the kind of high that stays with you long after the final whistle.”

The match featured some of Indian football’s finest talents. From Sunil Chhetri’s sharp passes to Gurpreet Singh Sandhu’s heroic saves, along with PUMA ambassadors Suresh Wangjam, Akash Mishra, and Phurba Lachenpa, the evening was a blend of sporting excellence and star-studded entertainment.

Adding to the glamour, Bollywood actors Dino Morea and Aparshakti Khurana showcased their skills and enthusiasm, turning the match into a celebration where sport met cinema on equal terms.
