Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday urged voters to support the party candidates G Chinna Reddy and former MLC Ramulu Naik in the election for Telangana State Legislative Council from two Graduates constituencies in the State on March 14.

“We urge voters to support Chinna Reddy in the election. When politics has turned commercial these days, Chinna Reddy has been working for the people with commitment” he said, adding that Chinna Reddy has vast knowledge in agriculture since he did a PhD in agriculture. “He will certainly work for the uplift of farmers in the State if he wins the election,” he said.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said Naik, who hails from a poor family, actively took part in the agitation for separate Statehood for Telangana. The party is launching the election campaign on Tuesday at the meetings to be conducted in Huzurnagar at 3 pm, Kodad at 5 pm and Suryapet at 7 pm to introduce Naik to voters.
