Hyderabad: Uttar Dakshin, 15th Season, featuring a Jugalbandi between Hindustani vocalist Pandit Jayateerth Mevundi, known for his powerful gayaki and deep-rooted Jaipur-Atrauli lineage, and acclaimed Carnatic flautist Shashank Subramanyam, celebrated for his virtuosity and innovative approach to the bamboo flute, will be held at Ravindra Bharathi on February 14.
The 15th Season Uttar Dakshin, an annual concert series organised by Surmandal in association with Vivid Arts & Entertainment, promises an exceptional evening of classical music, featuring an illustrious Jugalbandi, a press release said.
Enhancing this musical dialogue will be an equally eminent percussion ensemble, with V Narhari on Tabla representing the Hindustani rhythmic tradition, and Satish Patri on Mridangam bringing the depth and precision of Carnatic laya.
