Vaccination drive for TSRTC employees going on smoothly, says Puvvada

Steps have been taken to administer vaccines to about 27, 000 TSRTC employees who are eligible for the vaccination in all the districts in the State

Khammam: All arrangements are in place and administration of covid-19 vaccine for TSRTC employees in the State was going on smoothly, informed Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar.

Following the directions issued by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, steps have been taken to administer vaccines to about 27, 000 employees who are eligible for the vaccination in all the districts in the State. The depot managers have been given the responsibility of coordinationg with the health staff to administer the vaccine, he said.


Ajay Kumar along with the District Collector RV Karnan inspected the vaccination centre at the Government District Hospital here on Sunday. He instructed Khammam RTC regional manager and depot managers in the district to ensure that all employees, who were 45 and above years gets the vaccine shot.

He informed that covid vaccine was available at 35 vaccination centres across the district. He appealed to the RTC drivers, conductors and other staff to strictly follow covid-19 guidelines issued by the government in the wake of the covid second wave and increasing number of covid positive cases.

Zilla Parishad Chairman L Kamalraj, SUDA Chairman Bachu Vijay Kumar, DCC Bank Chairman K Nagabhusaiah, DM&HO Dr. B Malathi and others were present.
