Vakiti Srihari says he will sell property to clear Indiramma Houses bills
Animal Husbandry Minister Vakiti Srihari assured Indiramma housing scheme beneficiaries that payments would not be delayed, even vowing to sell his house and property if needed. He distributed sanction letters for 291 houses in Makthal on Friday
Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister Vakiti Srihari on Friday sought to allay concerns of Indiramma Housing Scheme beneficiaries, stating that he would go to the extent of selling his personal house and properties to ensure timely payments, if required.
Speaking at a programme in Makthal, where he distributed sanction letters to beneficiaries under the Indiramma housing scheme, the Minister emphasised the government’s commitment to the initiative. He said that in the first phase, 291 houses were sanctioned in Makthal constituency, and more approvals would follow in the subsequent phases.
Appealing to the beneficiaries to speed up construction of their houses, Srihari assured that financial support from the government would not be delayed. “Do not harbour any fears about the bill payments. If necessary, I will sell my house and properties to ensure your dues are cleared,” he said, according to reports.
The Minister’s remarks come in the backdrop of apprehensions among beneficiaries about delayed payments and material costs, especially in the early phases of implementation.
