Hyderabad: India’s Valishetty Shriyanshi emerged as the Women’s Singles Champion at the Al Ain Masters 2025, a BWF Tour Super 100 badminton tournament held at the Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
In the semi-finals, the seventh-seeded Valishetty defeated Chiara Marvella Handoyo (Indonesia) in straight games, 21–11, 21–12. She went on to clinch the title in an all-Indian final against the former BWF World Junior No. 1, Tasnim Mir, winning with scores of 15–21, 22–20, 21–7.
At just 18 years old, Shriyanshi Valishetty showcased exceptional skill, determination, and composure throughout the tournament, marking a remarkable milestone in her sporting career with a maiden BWF Super 100 title.
Meanwhile, in the Indian men’s doubles pair of MR Arjun and Hariharan Amsakarunan delivered a powerful performance to clinch the men’s doubles title, defeating the Indonesian pair of Raymond Indra and Nikolaus Joaquin 21-17, 21-18.
