Valuables worth Rs 50 lakh gutted in fire accident in apartment flat in Sangareddy

Sangareddy: A fire broke out in a flat, destroying household articles, clothes and cash in a suspected electrical short circuit in a refrigerator on Monday.
The incident occurred on the first floor of Gayathri Srinivasam Apartment at Pothireddypally in the town at around 6 am. The flat owner, Santosh Yadav, had just left the house, while his wife, Leela, was at home when the fire broke out. She alerted the fire department with the help of neighbours. Leela escaped unhurt in the incident.
Though the fire department managed to prevent the fire from spreading to other flats, all valuables in the flat were reduced to ashes. The total loss is estimated at Rs 50 lakh.
