Hyderabad: Value for money is a key factor in choosing a quick commerce platform for this Diwali festive shopping, with 71 per cent of users prioritising it and 65 per cent looking at product quality.
A survey by LocalCircles asked quick commerce users which factors mattered most when choosing a platform for festive shopping. Product availability when needed was cited by 46 per cent of respondents, while 43 per cent prioritised low or no additional charges.
Another 38 per cent chose offers and discounts, 31 per cent a range of festive products, 28 per cent reliable delivery and 22 per cent fast delivery, while 3 per cent could not say.
Value and quality lead by a wide margin, with product quality alone 19 percentage points ahead of the next factor, product availability (46 per cent). Fast delivery, the core promise of quick commerce, ranks last at 22 per cent, the survey revealed.
The study received over 2,04,000 responses from quick commerce users across 130 districts of India. It also included a one-of-a-kind consumer ratings exercise, with 11,275 ratings covering the seven major quick commerce platforms of India.
For everyday purchases, 75 per cent of users rank product quality among their top three factors, and 72 per cent rank product prices. Around 54 per cent look for offers and discounts, and 52 per cent look for getting most or all items in one order.
The survey suggested that quick commerce platforms show the final price, including delivery, handling, small-cart, and platform fees, on the product page and not only at checkout.
Apart from keeping fees low and simple during the festive season, when order frequency and basket sizes rise, the survey suggested improving product range and availability so that users can find what they need.
