Vandals damage compound wall of Padma Shri awardee Darshnam Mogulaiah’s plot in Hayathnagar
The Hayathnagar police have registered a case against unknown miscreants after Padma Shri awardee Darshnam Mogulaiah reported damage to the compound wall of his property. "We have booked a case and are investigating from all possible angles, reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas," said Inspector P. Nagaraju Goud.

Hyderabad: Unidentified persons damaged the compound wall of the 600 square yard plot allotted by the state government to folk artist and Padma Shri awardee Darshnam Mogulaiah at Hayathnagar on the city outskirts on Friday.
The Hayathnagar police have registered a case against unknown miscreants for damaging the compound wall, after Mogulaiah’s complaint who found the property damaged in the morning.
“We have booked a case and are investigating from all possible angles. We are examining the CCTV footage from the cameras in the vicinities,” said P.Nagaraju Goud, Inspector Hayathnagar.
Mogulaiah told the police he has no suspicion on anyone. The police authorities have assured him of their efforts to bring the culprits to justice.
Mogulaiah, popularly known as ‘Kinnera Mogulaiah.’ Mogulaiah, was awarded the Padma Shri in 2022 for his efforts in preserving the traditional art form of the Kinnera, a unique folk musical instrument from Telangana.
The plot was granted to Mogulaiah in recognition of his contributions to Telangana’s cultural heritage.
