Hyderabad: The LB Nagar Central Crime Station police on Thursday nabbed a thief involved in burglaries and automobile thefts at Jalpally. He was allegedly involved in 17 cases, police said, adding that four bikes, panchaloha and silver idols, gold and silver ornaments and other material, all together worth Rs 6.5 lakh were seized from P Rohith (22), a vegetable vendor from Bombay Colony in Jalpally.
According to the police, Rohith also targeted temples and parked motorcycles. Of the 17 cases, 10 were booked in Rachakonda, five in Hyderabad and two in Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits. Rohith had no previous crime history prior to these offences. He was handed over to the Balapur police for further investigation.
