Sangareddy: Director General of Police M Mahendar Reddy on Tuesday said the police will deposit vehicles in courts if people are found violating lockdown guidelines repeatedly.

Speaking during a visit to Patancheru area in Sangareddy district to inspect the implementation of lockdown, the DGP said the police will initiate stern action if anyone is caught roaming on roads without any proper reason. He said they have issued directions to all the district police in the State asking them to enforce the lockdown strictly.

“Strict implementation of the lockdown is the only way to break the chain of Coronavirus,” Reddy said, and advised people not to come out of their homes unless they have emergency work.

After examining the implementation of the lockdown in Patancheru, the top cop appreciated the Superintendent of Police S Chandrashekar Reddy for enforcing the lockdown strictly. DSP Patancheru S Bheem Reddy and others were present.
