Rajanna Sircilla: Vemulawada police arrested two pseudo policemen on charges of demanding money from devotees staying at Raja Rajeshwaraswamy temple on Sunday night. Aluvala Prasanth (23) of Padmanagar of Sircilla and Konda Rajasekhar (23) of Sanjeevaiahnagar of Sircilla were taken into custody and were produced in the court.
Posing themselves as police, they demanded money from devotees who stayed in the temple premises during the night.
Based on the complaint by pilgrims, they have taken two fake police into custody, said Circle Inspector, O Venkatesh. Advising the devotees and residents of the temple town to be alert about such kind of people, CI asked the people to contact police by dialing 100 if anybody threatened them in the name of police.
