Rajanna-Sircilla: The devotees made a beeline to the Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple, Vemulawada, for the Maha Shivarartri. They were seen arriving at the temple town along with their family members to take part in a three-day annual Maha Shivaratri jatara which began on Wednesday.
Endowment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy along with BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar, TS Planning Board Vice-Chairman B Vinod Kumar and others will present silk cloths to Rajarajeshwara Swamy on behalf of the State government on Thursday.
On the other hand, the Sivarchana programme was started at the temple tank on Wednesday evening. In order to entertain devotees who take part in the three-day fete, authorities made arrangements to organise Sivarchana and other cultural programmes.
Besides a huge dais, seating arrangements were also made in a huge area to ensure pilgrims to take part in Shivarchana and watch cultural programmes.
