Veteran journalist Muneer from Mancherial passes away

Muneer was diagnosed with cancer a few days ago and was undergoing treatment. He had worked with various news publications including Andhra Jyothi, Namasthe Telangana, etc., for over 40 years

Mancherial: Senior journalist Mohd Muneer passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad late on Saturday night. He was 66.

Muneer was diagnosed with cancer a few days ago and was undergoing treatment. He breathed his last around 1 am. He is survived by his wife, three daughters and son. He had worked with various news publications including Andhra Jyothi, Namasthe Telangana, etc., for over 40 years.


He also participated in the Telangana movement, Sakala Janula Samme and was an active member of different journalists’ unions. He had retired from Andhra Jyothi in 2019. His funeral will be held in Mancherial on Sunday.
