Hyderabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach Daniel Vettori says that there is a very positive feel after the win against Rajasthan Royals in the last game here.
Speaking to the media on the eve of the IPL league match against Chennai Super Kings here on Friday, Vettori said they have a very strong batting line-up to come good even if the openers fail. “We understand how important they are,” he said.
Reflecting on the two debutant fast bowlers Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain, who picked four wickets each against Rajasthan Royals, Vettori said the confidence the two showed while bowling to players like Vaibhav and Jaiswal of Royals was very impressive.
“There was no fear at all. We know sometimes it does not work, but when it does, it is incredibly satisfying,” he said.
On the spin duo of Shivang Kumar and Harsh Dubey, Vettori said they worked on some technical aspects of the two bowlers when they joined the team in March.
“It was all about understanding tactics in a T20 game and they are very skilful,” Vettori said.
On Pat Cummins, Vettori said he would be joining the team on Friday and should be playing the April 25 game against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.
