Hyderabad: Telugu Titans captain Vijay Malik says that every season is different from the previous one and his target is to bring home the trophy.
“Every defender and raider comes prepared in their own way. We have practised really well and strengthened a lot in the camp. We will know our weakness when the matches start,” Vijay said in an exclusive chat with Telangana Today ahead of the PKL Season 12.
“We have assembled a really good team this time. This team is better because there are more young players, and I believe the young players always do well in the league. We have a nice mix of experienced and emerging players,” Vijay said.
“We have prepared both on the mat and outside the mat. We have made sure to give our best on all fronts. We have focused on everything. We will do something different and win the trophy for the team,” he said.
“For us, both are like our homes. We don’t feel much difference whether we are playing in Hyderabad or Visakhapatnam. Kabaddi lovers and Telugu Titans fans support us a lot, and I would like to give this message to our fans to come and support us. They will get to watch some great matches,” Vijay explained.
“I think we will keep an eye on all players, especially the young players. I think whoever gets a chance will come on the top,” he said.
“Last year we had a great team. I think we had bad luck last time, and because of that, we could not win the title. As far as the title contention and the top two teams are concerned, I can’t say which two teams will come, but I think we are in the race this time,” Vijay reasoned.
“It was a great experience to captain Telugu Titans last time (in absence of Pawan). I am sure my team and I will do well and we will go to the top. The aim is to stick together as a team and bring home the trophy for the team,” he signed off.
