Hyderabad: Vijayawada Sunrisers registered a 51-run win against Kakinada Kings in the Andhra Premier League T20 cricket championship at the ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Friday.

Batting first, Sunrisers scored 202 for nine in 20 overs, with opener M. Abhinav (49, 36b, 4×4, 2×6) and lower-order batter Zaheer Abbas (25, 11b, 4×4, 3×6) making useful contributions.


In reply, the Kings were restricted to 151 for nine in 20 overs despite a fine knock by M. Lekaz Reddy (62 n.o., 33b, 4×4, 5×6).

The scores: Vijayawada Sunrisers 202/9 in 20 overs (M. Abhinav 49, V. Giri Prasad 3/31, S. Ashish 2/24) bt Kakinada Kings 151/9 in 20 overs (P. Tapaswi 31, M. Lekaz Reddy 62 n.o., G.S.V. Sumit 2/40, A. Lalith Mohan 2/17, Ch. Sridhar Dharma 2/14). Player of the match: M. Abhinav.
