Hyderabad: Vijayawada Sunshiners registered a 19-run victory over Royals of Rayalaseema in the Andhra Premier League T20 Cricket Championship at the ACA Mangalagiri Stadium near Vijayawada on Thursday.

Batting first, the Sunshiners scored 208 for five in 20 overs, with DB Prasanth (60 off 33 balls, 5×4, 2×6), Sk. Zaheer Abbas (53 not out off 20 balls, 1×4, 7×6) and M. Harsha Vardhan (36 off 24 balls, 2×4, 2×6) being the principal contributors.

In reply, Royals of Rayalaseema were restricted to 189 for nine in 20 overs despite useful knocks from A. Sai Surya Teja Reddy (44 off 28 balls, 3×4, 3×6) and M. Vamsi Krishna (37 off 23 balls, 5×4, 2×6). B. Pranav Reddy was the standout bowler, finishing with figures of four for 43.
