Vikarabad: Chicken shop owner killed during knife attack in Tandur
A chicken shop owner was killed in a knife attack following an old rivalry in Rajiv Colony of Tandur town in Vikarabad district. The victim, Noor Ahmed, died while being shifted to Hyderabad for treatment.

Hyderabad: A violent incident in Rajiv Colony of Tandur town in Vikarabad district claimed the life of a chicken shop owner on Thursday. The victim has been identified as Noor Ahmed, who operated a chicken shop in the locality.
According to police, the incident was the result of an old rivalry between Gopal, a resident of Khanjapur village, and Kittu from Indiramma Colony.
Gopal allegedly chased Kittu with a knife following a dispute. Fearing for his life, Kittu ran into a chicken shop owned by Noor Ahmed in Rajiv Colony.
When Noor Ahmed and his son Abbu questioned Gopal about the fight, he reportedly lost his temper and attacked both of them with a knife. Noor Ahmed and Abbu suffered serious injuries in the attack.
Local residents rushed the injured to the Tandur District Government Hospital. As Noor Ahmed’s condition was critical, doctors referred him to Hyderabad for advanced treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries while being shifted. The body was later shifted to Tandur Government Hospital for autopsy.
The Vikarabad police are investigating the case.
Six people were arrested in connection with the incident. Police are yet to announce further details.
